horrid release week overall (ie nothing)... although paper mario should be good.... i don't have wii
i'd much rather pay 50 bucks more and get the microsoft wireless racing wheel...
and the temporary airing on the gears of war website confirmed that... it will be like a king of the hill game where you earn points for holding a territory (they said that it is based off of where the weapons spawn.
but right now my computer is too weak to handle vista... when i build a new computer i'll probably get it, you know, so can earn those halo 2 achievements ;-)
remember all that speculation about downgraded graphics?? looks like it was just a bad capture and compression...
if you compare these sales to what the original xbox was selling in its second year they are consistently selling 2-3 times as many units. Its nothing compared to nintendo or even sony, but it is a vast improvement over last gen. They also are getting a lot more japanese developer support.
totally agree, i want black xbox 360 controllers :D
i'll probably sell 2 of my white ones and pick up 2 black ones
smooth motions are great, but wasn't LucasArts developing the Euphoria engine that simulated motions so that nothing was jerky? I thought that was truly going to revolutionize gaming...no more motion capture... or is Drakes running on that?
i agree that the art direction of MGS is better than crysis... but those post-processing effects really change the appearance of the game and has little to do with how much the processor is really rendering. Plus, the shot of the truck crashing was scripted in MGS while it was being caused in realtime in the crysis demo... Crysis is not only handling the graphics but its physics are all realtime. I'm not saying that MGS was CG, i'm just saying it was scripted, much like all the MGS... this ...
the videos were posted a while ago i believe...
but the game still looks amazing!
good old super C.... played the hell out of this one as a kid
it would fit on one bluray... sure... but since it is on 3 dvd-9s the texture don't need to be compressed and the graphics would look identical, just means you'd need to switch disks...
anyhow, for graphical renderings in game/engine it is the available RAM that determines how good your textures look, not your disk space. You could have 200 terrabytes of storage space but only 256 MB of graphic RAM and so your textures will never exceed 256MB at one time. that's the bottlenec...
you will probably receive some sort of reimbursement in the mail. So far everytime they have changed the warranty they also reimbursed everyone who wouldn't have had to pay... so you might just get a check in the mail :D
microsoft probably can only replace first party titles because it is microsoft that is paying for the manufacturing of said titles. Microsoft does not manufacture nor pay for the manufacturing of third party titles and thus does not have access to the excess stock of those games.
the disc replacement costs 20 dollars!!! look at the order form... that's a bit of a rip off, but i guess it is cheaper than buying a new game if a new game would be more expensive than that. And i suppose this covers damages not caused by the system (so if you snap it in half.)
@ zan
he isn't working on MGS for 360, but he has stated that he is working on a new IP for the 360
wow, they are really improving the graphics in this game at the last minute... unless it doesn't look like that in motion... but they did say that they were focused on gameplay/simulation before doing the graphics so that why the graphics are coming together in the last few months :D
i can't wait to get my hands on it.
there are only a handful who say it doesn't work... most say it works beautifully... i wanted to test it out, but all the stores i went to were sold out... quite disapointing..
if i was making more money i'd get it done
